Tobey Maguire Returns in Spider-Man 4 and 5 Movies

Good news fans! Tobey Maguire will again be playing the big role to the next sequel of ever famous Spider-Man. A lot of people have been eavesdropping to the latest news and gossip about this much awaited movie series. Finally, Sam Raimi and the very own Spider-Man - Tobey Maguire, puts an end to the issue by signing on to the fourth and fifth filming of Spider-Man.

The only thing they are waiting for confirmation now is if Kirsten Dunst will still play as Mary Jane Watson. However, they were confident for this matter especially that Kirsten has made recent statement that she still wants to continue with the series. Only her, signing the contract can give Raimi 100% assurance to direct it and possibly start the production by March of 2010. Raimi stating that, "I hope she'll be written into it. I couldn't imagine making one without her, and I think she's an important part of the movies" also believes that with Tobey and Kirsten to continue doing the movie, a great production is surely yet to happen.

It has also been undecided yet whether or not Spider-Man 4 and 5 will be shot back-to-back similarly with the movie “Lord of The Rings”. But Raimi emphasizes that surely, the next two movies of Spider-Man will be connected. It’s just that he was being a little apprehensive to shoot two blockbuster movies loaded with special-effects at the same time, after admitting that Spider-Man 3 was a bit exhausting.

Whichever of these plans will happen, I’m just glad to know there’s another best-selling movie that will soon hit the industry!

The Iron Man – The Hero with a Heart

After watching this movie on the big screen last Saturday, I realized that another movie is well worth its ticket price. I like the acting of Robert Downey Jr. being the famous Tony Sparks here. He reminds me of the funny side of Johnny Depp. For me, he also has the same features, actually a combination of the face of the famous actors Hugh Jackman and Sylvester Stallone. And I like the name of Gwyneth Paltrow in the film, she played as Pepper Potts.

Basically, The Iron Man is Rated PG-13 simply because of some intense sequence and violence in some parts of the film but more than that, it is definitely a great movie. The tagline, “Heroes aren’t born. They’re built.” gives a reasonable idea why Iron Man can also be called as hero. The big thing why Iron Man is different from other well-known characters is that he has the heart. Take note, his heart is one of a kind. He is the only man with that extraordinary glowing heart made with wires and other electrical components that actually give life to his own built armored suit. He was forced to become the Iron Man after he rescued himself from the custody of the terrorists who were unfortunately, his loyal customers. Yes, Tony Sparks is a well-recognized maker of powerful weapons but after that life-threatening incident, he eventually realized what he’s worth and decides to use technology through his own inventions to fight against evil.

All in all, I will rate this movie as 4 out of 5. It is really a very good movie. From the fight scenes to the graphics and also for the humor that the main character portrays, I think that this is definitely one of the best movies for this year!

A Must-See “10,000 B.C.”

It was last Saturday, a weekend get-away when my boyfriend and I decided to watch a movie. He chose 10,000 B.C. among all the lineup of films featured in every Cinema. From the beginning till the end of the film, we were both mesmerized by the things we were viewing in the wide screen. Maybe because the film directed by Roland Emmerich provides a great setting; the action-packed scene where mammoths were running all over the place and of course, the very beautiful faces of the casts. This especially pertains to the mysterious blue-eyed girl named Evolet played by Camilla Belle. Her face looks so lovely in the screen even with mud and bruises on her face and body. Aside from this, it was really unique to have seen a love story behind an epic with a prehistoric plot. The journey of D’Leh (Steven Strait) also gives life to the entire film. He really portrays the role so well and the tagline “It takes a hero to change the world” really suits his character.
